After answering these and some discussions on the product and the company it turned out they Schaab PR wanted to use MagnetPaint in their own offices.
Since the office generates a continious stream of different designs, which needs to be shared now and then with colleagues, Patrich Schaab decided to use the walls extensively after the makeover of the office.
Now nearly every room in their reborn office is equipped with one wall with MagnetPaint.

The rooms are halfway through their finalization and the classical grey ‘magnetpaint’-color will be topcoated with the same color as the surrounding wall. Thus making the application invisible.

And, why not, now they finally have their messageboard in the canteen.

The design company MM/Mazout from Antwerp just finished the colorful magnetic playwall in the Ronald McDonald House in Arnhem, where family of children that are hospitalized in the hospital next door, can stay overnight. Or, if necessary, several days or weeks.

On the 26th of November 2009 the house was officially opened, and since then young guests can forget their worries a little bit by playing with this wonderful magnetic undersea panorama.

Production was simple: just a few coats of magnetpaint (or magneticpaint as it is also named), topcoated with a nice design, add some wonderful designed magnetic underwater creatures and voila:
a beautiful inspiring playwall.

Studio MM in Antwerp is specialist in designing products and landscapes with magnetic material (www.studio-mm.be). Especially children’s playing areas have their attention.

Lies Verheyen, designer at the company, designed three landscapes specifically designed as magnetic ‘playwalls’ in hospitals and asked MagPaint Europe to participate in the project.

The walls will be located in children’s departments and will be ‘tailor-made’ to the specific surroundings.

MagPaint Europe is proud to participate in this project and sponsors all the paint necesssary to produce the playwalls.

Because of it’s unique character, for a large part made possible by a painted surface  with MagnetPaint, MagPaint Europe decided to (partly) sponsor this project.

Here’s the description of the responsible design companies Dirk in Vorm and Romboud Maris Design:

Functionality as the main design factor can lead to a surprising renewal of shape and design. By playing with functionality at the first stages in a design, minimalism in functionalism can be overcome, and even lead to extreme expressions.

The Design Duo “Romboud Maris” and “Dirk van der Kooij” has proved this concept  for a new shoe shop “Pimps and Pumps” in the city of Baarn.

In the future shop shoes can be displayed in any desired  way for example by price, size or color. This has been made possible using a special magnetic tray designed by the Design Duo. With one wall completely covered with a magnetic paint from “Magpaint” the trays can be placed anywhere on the wall. The shoe display tray itself has been constructed from natural paperboard and mimics a shoe box. This results in a “fresh from the press” feeling, suggesting that the shoes at display are coming straight from the factory .
The shop’s warehouse is partly transparent, proudly showing  the shop’s stock and preventing any “dead moments” when the salesperson searches for the correct  sized shoe.

One side of the warehouse is covered with mirrors, so that customers are able to examine their new fitted shoes.

The Design Duo has consistently carried out their concept in every element and detail of the shop, resulting in a functional, beautiful and innovative presentation of retail.

MagPaint Europe started building the German market some 6 years ago in close cooperation with P.+R. Concept in Hamburg. Since then a lot has changed. From a totally unknown product, it is now being sold throughout Germany in nearly every paint shop. With a tip of the hat to P.+R.

The reorganisation also means that the cut-down in costs, among other things, directly has its influence on the purchase price for German trade customers.

Thanks to our strong local partner, MagPaint is convinced to be very successfull. Like all markets, build-up will be slow at first, but eventually pay-off. Scandinavia is promising, because spending on decrative paints can be compared with the other Northwestern European countries.

Allthough DIY growth in this region has come to a halt, decorative paint sales are still growing.

We are, of course, delighted by their attention and the work they indirectly do for us.
